Dave Ranyard

Dave is the Studio Director of Sony’s London Studio, famous for award winning titles such as SingStar, EyeToy, EyePet and more recently, the Wonderbook series. After graduating with a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Dave started out as an Artificial Intelligence programmer at Psygnosis’ Leeds Studio. He later moved to Sony Computer Entertainment’s London Studio, where he has had a variety of roles, including programmer, creative services manager and executive producer on some of the studio’s key titles, before taking up the mantle of Studio Director in 2012. Under Dave’s direction, London Studio is making exciting moves on PlayStation®4 with the development of Project Morpheus, Sony’s prototype virtual reality system.
