Creating Games for The Watchability Era
As the popularity of game streaming and video services continues to skyrocket, it's evident that today's audiences are just as enthusiastic about watching games as they are about playing them. We find ourselves at the dawn of the watchability era, where designing games with maximum viewer appeal is paramount. What are the unique identities, motivations, and evolving preferences of these audience members? And what actionable strategies can be applied to designing the best games and effectively monetizing them? This roundtable, moderated by Diego Ricchiuti (Caracal Games), will discuss dissecting audience needs and desires, finding actionable strategies, and deciphering the underlying patterns of viewer behavior and consumption habits.
